Summary

Field of study: speciality 521.03 Economy and management (in the field of activity).

Thesis scopedeals with the suggestion of measures related to management improvement in the meat processing enterprises from the Republic of Moldova on the basis of situation diagnostics and constraints in the development.

Thesis objectives includes presentation of concepts and liasons between the management and integrated system of management; analysis of economic situation in the meat and meat products branch and stock-raising sector through formulating the development trends; management diagnostics from quantative and qualitative points of view in the local meat processing enterprises; suggestion of measures on management improvement and economic argumentation of the methodology on efficiency assessment for meat processing enterprises.

Scientific innovation and originality: consist in the development of theoretical and methodological elements and the improvement of the management in the meat processing enterprises that lies in: 1. synthesizing the essence and evolution of the management concepts and of the integrated management systems in the context with current trends in the development of contemporary management; 2. identifying the perspectives of management development in the Moldovan meat processing enterprises, based on the diagnostics and assessment of the management development level; 3. formulation of sectoral recommendations for improving the efficiency of the economic and managerial activity at the branch of the production, processing and preserving of meat and meat products; 4. economic argumentation of the strategy on vertical integration for the meat processing enterprises from the Republic of Moldova; 5. elaboration of the methodology on the assessment of management efficiency for meat processing enterprises based on the reengineering measures of the managerial subsystems; 6. justification of the implementation of integrated management system based on the specifics of the meat processing enterprises.

Solved scientific problemdeals with the formulation of the measures in the management field from the scientific, methodologic and practical points of view that has confirmed the opportunity of its improvement at the mezoeconomic and microeconomic levels in order to increase the efficiency of the meat-processing companies from the Republic of Moldova.

Theoretical value deals with the critical analysis of the management concept and assessment of present trends in its development in the competitive economy.

Applicative value of the work consists in the implementation of the results of the investigation into the practice management in the meat-processing companies and public approval of the results, reflected in scientific journals, presentations at scientific conferences in the country and abroad wich are confirmed by implementing acts and includes diagnostics of management systems within the meat processing enterprises using the suggested questionnaire; promotion of the strategy of vertical integration in the enterprises from meat and meat products branch; practical implementation of the reengineering measures for managerial subsystems from the enterprses; assessment of absolute and relative management efficiency for the meat processing enterprises using the methodology suggested in the thesis.
